More than a dozen young furniture store retailers met with Top 100 Retailers Jeff Child of RC Willey, and Jake Jabs of American Furniture Warehouse, at the Home Furnishings Association’s Lunch with Leaders Program during High Point Market.
Child met with six generational leaders, from across the country, over lunch in the Home Furnishings Association’s showroom and talked shop. The group was all ears when he discussed the trials and tribulations of how to overcome change in your family business. The group also discussed; influencing change through your company culture, digital advertising and the metrics to measure, how to improve your customer experience, and determining what’s your tiebreaker.
Jabs met with eight generational leaders, from across the country, for lunch in the Jackson Furniture Showroom and gave insight into what he has discovered in his career journey. Jake and the group discussed finding your passion, standing up for yourself, how to brand your business and most importantly if it’s not profitable don’t do it!
The Home Furnishings Association’s Next Generation Now group sponsors the Lunch with Leaders Mentoring session at every High Point and Las Vegas Markets. This mentors for Las Vegas will be announced in December and young professionals will be encouraged to register to participate.
